- Broccoli 1 head
- Garlic 3-4 cloves
- Light soy sauce
- Oyster sauce
- Sugar
Measurements
- Broccoli about 200 g (about 1/2 a medium head of broccoli)
- Garlic 3-4 cloves
- Light soy sauce 10 ml
- Oyster sauce 5 ml
- Sugar 2 g
Steps
- Cut the broccoli into small florets and wash clean.
- Peel the garlic and mince it. Set aside.
- Add 1000 ml drinking water to a pot and bring to a boil over high heat.
- Add the broccoli and keep on high heat for 2-3 minutes, until the broccoli turns bright green and becomes tender.
- Remove the cooked broccoli, drain well, arrange on a plate, and set aside.
- Heat the pan and add 10 ml cooking oil. When the oil is hot, add the minced garlic and stir-fry over low heat until fragrant.
- Add 10 ml light soy sauce, 5 ml oyster sauce, 2 g sugar, and 30 ml drinking water.
- Bring the sauce to a boil.
- Evenly pour the cooked garlic sauce over the broccoli on the plate.
Notes
- Do not blanch for longer than the recommended time to avoid affecting the broccoli’s texture and nutrition.
