Meat and Egg Rice Bowl

Meat and egg rice bowl is suitable for a simple single-person dinner, and cooking takes about fifteen minutes.

  • Dark soy sauce 10ml
  • Light soy sauce 25ml
  • Vinegar 20ml
  • Optional shallot oil 10g
  • Scallion 10g
  • Oil 30ml
  • Sugar 15g

Steps

  • Cook the rice. Typically use the measuring cup that comes with the rice; one cup of rice is 240g.
  • Add 30ml oil to the pan.
  • Add the ground meat and pan-fry over medium heat until both sides are lightly browned.
  • Crack the eggs into the pan without beating them, then cover with a lid.
  • Mix a bowl sauce: add the corresponding amounts from calculations of dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and shallot oil, and stir well.
  • Open the lid, pour the bowl sauce into the pan, and wait three minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and place the meat and eggs over the rice.
  • Safety check and start eating the rice bowl.

Notes

  • If you prefer a sweeter taste, you can add 10g sugar.
