Cooked Pot Steamed Rice

Ingredients and Tools
- Northern rice
- Water
- Thick-bottomed pot + tight-fitting lid (no significant steam leakage during cooking)
Measurements
- Rice: 100ml-200ml/person
- Water: 2 times the volume of rice
Steps
- Rinse the rice
- Add rice and water to the pot
- Bring to a boil over high heat
- Stir the bottom to prevent sticking
- Cover with the lid and reduce to low heat for 10-15 minutes (depending on desired softness), do not open the lid during cooking
- Turn off the heat and let rest for 5 minutes
