Tomato Egg Soup

Ingredients and Tools

  • Tomato
  • Eggs
  • Sesame oil
  • MSG
  • Salt
  • Scallion, ginger, garlic

Measurements

  • Tomato 1
  • Eggs 1-2 (according to your taste; if you like eggs use 2, otherwise use 1)
  • Sesame oil 2 drops
  • MSG 5 g (optional)
  • Salt 15 g
  • Scallion, ginger, garlic total 15 g

Steps

  • Wash the tomato and cut into chunks.
  • Chop the scallion, ginger, and garlic.
  • Crack the eggs into a bowl and beat evenly with chopsticks (or a whisk).
  • Heat the pan and add 15 ml of oil; when you can see a wisp of smoke from the oil, add the scallion, ginger, and garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds.
  • Add the tomato and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Pour in water; the water level should be about 1.2 times the height of the ingredients in the pot, and add salt.
  • After it comes to a boil, pour in the egg mixture and use chopsticks to break up the eggs; add MSG and sesame oil.
  • Wait 30 seconds, turn off the heat, and serve.
