Ingredients and Tools

  • Required: lamb chops (recommended JD purchase: Dazhuangyuan New Zealand imported French-cut lamb shoulder rack, 500g/bag with three pieces, 42 yuan when JD is on sale)
  • Required: black pepper mixed steak seasoning (lazy)
  • Required: garlic sauce (recommended Chuanwazi, also because lazy)
  • Required: kitchen paper towels
  • Optional: butter (buy the small box on JD, one piece per small box)
  • Optional: barbecue seasoning
  • Optional: dried basil
  • Optional: air fryer rack (using a rack uses less oil and the bottom cooks more easily, but it's a hassle to wash. Without it, it tastes more infused. Personal choice)

Measurements

  • 1 lamb chop is about 160g
  • Black pepper mixed steak seasoning 5g
  • Garlic sauce 20g
  • Butter 1 small box 10g or barbecue seasoning 20g

Steps

  • Put the lamb chops in a bowl and rinse with water to remove the blood
  • Pat the lamb chops dry with kitchen paper towels, spread black pepper mixed seasoning and garlic sauce on both sides, and marinate for 20 minutes
  • Place a rack on a foil bowl, put the lamb chops on the rack, sprinkle dried basil, place butter or barbecue seasoning on the lamb chops, air fry at 180° for 10 minutes
  • Flip the lamb chops, sprinkle dried basil, place butter (scooped from the foil bowl) or barbecue seasoning on the lamb chops, air fry at 180° for 5 minutes (you can add a bit more time according to personal preference; this time is written to avoid burning)

Notes

  • Recommend buying an air fryer with good temperature control, otherwise it may burn. If you follow this guide and find issues or a process that can be improved, please submit an Issue or Pull request.
