Garlic Scape Stir-Fried Minced Pork
Garlic scape stir-fried minced pork is a simple and easy dish to make. It is a Northern Chinese homestyle dish known for its simple method and excellent flavor, and is widely loved among people in the North.
Ingredients and Tools
- Pork belly slices
- Garlic scapes
- Salt
- Light soy sauce
- Cooking oil
- Garlic cloves
Measurements
- Garlic scapes 1 bunch (each bunch about 190g)
- Pork belly slices 4 slices (about 20g)
- Cooking oil 10ml
- Garlic cloves 2 cloves
- Light soy sauce 15ml
- Salt 2g
Steps
- Cut garlic scapes into 5cm segments, set aside
- Cut pork belly slices into strips 5mm * 5cm, set aside
- Crush garlic cloves and mince, set aside
- Heat the pan, add 10ml cooking oil. Wait 10 seconds for the oil to heat
- Add minced garlic, stir-fry over medium heat for 10 seconds until fragrant
- Add pork belly and 5ml light soy sauce, stir-fry over medium heat for 30 seconds until the meat is cooked and colored
- Add garlic scapes to the pan and add 10ml light soy sauce, stir-fry for 30 seconds
- Add 20g water to the pan, stir-fry over medium heat for 5 minutes until the garlic scapes are slightly softened
- Finally add 2g salt, stir-fry over medium heat for 30 seconds, then serve
Notes
- Taste for saltiness before adding salt and adjust as needed
