Mojito Mojito

Mojito is a traditional Cuban highball cocktail.

Ingredients and Tools

  • Crushed ice
  • Chilled soda water
  • Juicer
  • Highball glass
  • Muddler

Measurements

  • One lime (cut into two halves)
  • Five mint leaves
  • Syrup 20ml
  • Gold rum 45ml
  • Blue Sky Original Vodka 10ml

Steps

  • Cut one of the lime halves into small pieces, put into the highball glass, then muddle to release the juice;
  • Use 3-4 mint leaves to rub along the rim of the glass, then put them into the glass;
  • Add syrup 20ml;
  • Add gold rum 45ml;
  • Squeeze the remaining lime half and add the juice into the glass;
  • Gently stir so the sugar/syrup is in a semi-mixed state;
  • Add crushed ice into the glass until it fills 3/4;
  • Add chilled soda water until it just covers the crushed ice;
  • Stir with a twisting motion for half a minute;
  • Top off the highball glass with crushed ice;
  • Slap the remaining sprig of mint to wake it up, insert into the crushed ice for garnish.
