B-52 Bomber
The B-52 is a cocktail with a distinctive way of drinking; it should be paired with a short straw, a napkin, and a lighter.
Ingredients and Tools
- Kahlua coffee liqueur
- Baileys Irish Cream
- Blue Sky original vodka
- bar spoon
- liqueur glass
- lighter
Measurements
- Kahlua coffee liqueur 10ml
- Baileys Irish Cream 10ml
- Blue Sky original vodka 10ml
Steps
- Pour Kahlua coffee liqueur into the very bottom of the liqueur glass to the 1/3 mark. (10ml)
- Slowly pour Baileys Irish Cream along the bar spoon, also to the 1/3 mark (10ml). Be sure to go slowly to keep the layers distinct. (If too fast, the cream liqueur will mix with the coffee.)
- Finally pour Blue Sky original vodka on the top layer (10ml)
- Warm the rim of the glass with a lighter
- Final step: ignite it. Do you see the faint blue flame?
Notes
- When drinking, a common method in bars now is to provide a straw, insert it while the flame is still burning, then quickly drink it all.
- Because the straw is too thin and there is not enough oxygen inside, the flame will go out, so no need to worry. At this point, you will feel a hot rush down your throat to your stomach, followed by a long-lasting coffee-and-cream aftertaste. Very exciting and delicious.
