Sweet and Sour Sauce

Sweet and sour sauce is usually made with water, white sugar, white vinegar, and so on. Some people like to add a bit of ketchup to bring a different sweet-and-sour flavor, or add some starch to increase the sauce’s viscosity and thickness. Sweet and sour sauce can be used for dishes such as sweet and sour fish, sweet and sour pork tenderloin, and sweet and sour spare ribs.

Steps

  • Mix all seasonings in a small bowl according to the ratio until well combined.
  • After preparing the dish as required, pour the prepared sweet and sour sauce into the pan.
  • Depending on the dish, cook for 5-10 minutes.
  • Reduce the sauce over high heat to increase the dish’s thickness, aroma, and sheen.
