Ingredients and Tools

  • eggs
  • electric cooker
  • water
  • stopwatch (optional)

Measurements

  • eggs 1 or more (as long as your electric cooker can fit them, any number of eggs is fine)
  • cold water about 2 cm above the eggs

Steps

  • Place the eggs into the electric cooker. The eggs must not be stacked; they should all be on the bottom and have space to wobble
  • Pour in cold water about 2 cm above the eggs
  • Keep the lid open and heat on maximum power until the water starts to boil (about 85 - 95 degrees, gently rolling, not a full boil)
  • Turn off the heat, cover with the lid, and let the eggs rest.
  • For a runny yolk in the center, let rest 6 minutes
  • For a fully cooked, crumbly yolk, let rest 10 minutes
  • Drain the water, rinse the eggs with cold water for about 1 minute, then peel and eat.
