Soft-Boiled Eggs
Fitness-minded friends can get 6 grams of protein from each egg. It takes about 15 minutes to complete.
Ingredients and Tools
- eggs
- electric cooker
- water
- stopwatch (optional)
Measurements
- eggs 1 or more (as long as your electric cooker can fit them, any number of eggs is fine)
- cold water about 2 cm above the eggs
Steps
- Place the eggs into the electric cooker. The eggs must not be stacked; they should all be on the bottom and have space to wobble
- Pour in cold water about 2 cm above the eggs
- Keep the lid open and heat on maximum power until the water starts to boil (about 85 - 95 degrees, gently rolling, not a full boil)
- Turn off the heat, cover with the lid, and let the eggs rest.
- For a runny yolk in the center, let rest 6 minutes
- For a fully cooked, crumbly yolk, let rest 10 minutes
- Drain the water, rinse the eggs with cold water for about 1 minute, then peel and eat.
