Boiled Corn

Ingredients and Tools

  • Fresh corn
  • A pot that can fit the corn
  • Water
  • Salt
  • Sugar (optional)

Measurements

  • One ear of corn with husk
  • Water covering the corn by about half a finger segment
  • When boiling the corn, start with light salt water, about 2 grams of salt plus 50ml of water
  • Add or skip sugar according to taste (optional)

Steps

  • Peel the fresh corn, keep part of the husk and put it into the pot
  • Add water covering the corn by about half a finger segment, add salt and sugar
  • After the water boils, turn to low heat, cover and continue boiling for 15-20 minutes, it's okay to boil the corn a bit longer.
  • Drain the water after cooking, let cool and serve.
