Steamed Oysters

Ingredients and Tools

  • oysters
  • scallions
  • garlic

Measurements

  • drinking water 1 liter
  • oysters 6
  • scallions 3
  • garlic 6 cloves
  • ginger 1 small piece
  • soy sauce 1 ml per oyster

Steps

  • Scrub the oysters clean with a brush (use a toothbrush if there is no brush).
  • Add water to the steamer. After placing the steamer rack, lay 6 oysters flat on the rack, use 50% power, and steam for 3 minutes.
  • Use a damp cloth in your right hand to lift the hot lid, remove half of each oyster shell, place the oyster with the convex side down and the flat side up, add 1 strip of ginger to each, and put 10g minced garlic on the oysters.
  • Close the hot lid and steam at 100% power for 3.5 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat, use a cloth in your right hand to lift the hot lid, and add 5ml soy sauce to each.
  • Plate and serve.
